Dassault Aviation is showing off several Falcon business jets at the National Business Aviation Association-Business Aviation Convention & Exhibition (NBAA-BACE) 2023 taking place now through Thursday, October 19 in Las Vegas. The French aerospace company has a large-cabin Falcon 8X trijet and a widebody Falcon 2000LXS twinjet at the show, as well as a full-scale flight deck and a cabin mockup of its upcoming ultra-long-range, ultra-widebody Falcon 10X.

The 8X & 2000LXS

The 8X and 2000LXS are available with the FalconEye Combined Vision System, enabling low-visibility approaches to a decision height of 100 feet (30.5 meters). The system is the first head-up display (HUD) to combine synthetic, database-driven terrain mapping and actual thermal, low-light camera images into one view, Dassault says.

Dassault recently upgraded the 16-passenger 8X to the EASy IV flight deck and approved it for an advanced dual HUD, which lets both pilots share the same synthetic, enhanced view. In-service 8X aircraft can receive the feature as a retrofit. Dassault says the 6,450-nautical-mile (11,945-kilometer) 8X is the market’s quietest business jet.

Dassault launched the Falcon 2000LXS in 2012 at NBAA-BACE and has sold nearly 700 units of the 10-passenger, 4,000-nm (7,408-km) jet to date.

Flying In Style

Expected for deliveries in 2025, the twin-engine Falcon 10X will be the market’s largest purpose-built business jet, says Dassault. The 7,500-nm (13,890-km) plane boasts a cabin Dassault says will make passengers feel like they’re in a “penthouse in the sky.” The jet has already received the 2022 Good Design Award and 2022 Red Dot Award honors.

Also at NBAA-BACE 2023, Dassault will demonstrate FalconWays, a new app rolling out with the 16-passenger, extra-widebody Falcon 6X, expected to enter service this year. The app provides pilots with global wind data that helps plan flight paths that save fuel and time and lower emissions.
