The summer months have been kind to Bombardier and its Challenger and Global business jet brands. In addition to announcing that its Challenger 350 recently became the fastest model in the medium or large classes to reach 300 deliveries, Bombardier reports that the jet topped the Robb Report’s recent 31st Annual Best of The Best list of top aircraft in the Super-Midsize category, marking the second straight year the jet has won the award. Moreover, Robb Report named Bombardier’s Global 7500 as its overall Business Jet of The Year.

A Reliable Workhorse

Bombardier says Challenger 300 series aircraft have won seven Robb Report awards altogether. Noting that many Challenger 350 deliveries have gone to NetJets, Flexjet, and other private-aviation companies that appreciate the jet’s “reliable, workhorse nature,” the Robb Report writes that the Challenger 350 has been the “business jet of choice” for years among those seeking a private jet able to “cross the country (or the Atlantic) on the regular.” (Robb Report’s list of best aircraft “from private jets to VTOLS” also includes Cessna’s Citation Latitude as the Best Midsized Jet and Embraer’s Phenom 300E as the Best Light Aircraft.)

Peter Likoray, Bombardier Business Aircraft senior vice president, worldwide sales and marketing, says the 300th Challenger 350 delivery coming just five years after it entered service “underscores the trust our customers place in this industry-leading aircraft.” He added that the Robb Report honor “speaks to the worldwide acknowledgement that there is simply no aircraft like the Challenger 350 jet in its segment.”

The Best Gets Better

Bombardier touts the Challenger 350 as the only super-midsized jet that can fly “full range at full fuel and seat capacity.” The company recently introduced updates that provide the jet with enhanced HUD (head-up display) and EVS (enhance vision systems) abilities. Bombardier also introduced a performance improvement package that enables the jet to fly up to 1,500 nautical miles (2,778 kilometers) farther from short runways to go along with its steep-approach certifications from the European Union Safety Agency, Federal Aviation Administration, and Transport Canada.

Controller.com has a large selection of new and aircraft for sale every day, including Bombardier Challenger and Global business jets, as well as jets from Cessna and Embraer.
