A little over a year after announcing the aircraft, Embraer delivered its first Praetor 500 business jet to global fractional ownership aircraft, leasing, and jet card services company Flexjet. Flexjet is adding the Praetor 500 to its fractional fleet along with a Praetor 600 and Phenom 300, and is the launch customer for the Praetor fleet. Flexjet previously added a Legacy 500 and a Legacy 450 from Embraer to another fleet in 2015 and 2016 with success and has a partnership with Embraer that began in 2003.
“We know what our owners look for in an aircraft, and the Praetor 500 hits so many of those features from performance to fuel efficiency to ample baggage space,” says Flexjet CEO Michael Silvestro. “And in keeping our commitment to have the youngest and most modern fleet on the market, soon we will begin upgrading all our Legacy 450s to Praetor 500s.”
About The Praetor 500
The Praetor 500 has received certification from the ANAC (National Civil Aviation Agency of Brazil), EASA (European Union Aviation Safety Agency), and the FAA (Federal Aviation Administration) in less than a year after it was announced and is among the most technologically-advanced midsize aircraft. It can make cross-country nonstop flights such as Miami to Seattle. The Praetor 500 has a range of 3,340 nautical miles (6,186 kilometers) and a takeoff distance of 4,222 feet (1,287 meters) when flying its maximum range or 2,842 feet (867 meters) when flying 1,000-nautical-mile missions, allowing direct access to more destinations. The aircraft’s six-foot-tall cabin has plush seats that convert into flat beds, a large baggage compartment, Wi-Fi connectivity, and turbulence reduction technology to ensure a comfortable flight.
